In the old town of Bourbon-Lancy La Grignotte du vieux Bourbon (3,5,km) offers very simple, typically French cuisine with little
choice. You can either sit directly in the pedestrian street or in a small courtyard outside.
The same applies to the Auberge gourmande de Gilly (7.1 km), which also offers typical French cuisine with a slightly higher
standard of quality and more choice.
The restaurant Le Cloître du GrandHôtel (3 km) is highly recommended, at least it is worth seeing for the dusty fin de siècle
elegance of the establishment.
L'Olive (16.3km) in Dompierre sur Besbre is very, very good.
If you want to have lunch in Moulins (38.5km), don't miss the Grand Café on the Place de l'Allier. Note that it is only possible
to eat there at lunchtime and that people wishing to have a coffee must come outside lunchtime.
Le Clos de Bourgogne in Moulins is highly recommended. Very high quality cuisine and elegant atmosphere. You can sit outside on
a terrace in the park.
La Cuisine d'Hervé is a shady terrace where you can have lunch or dinner after a visit to the city.
la bulle d'air, place d'Alliers, Moulins. very good food, sober atmosphere.
Les bons vivants, 598 route de l'Ouche, Perigny sur Loire. simple bistro with very good food,
run by a young couple. Open only for lunch, except on Saturdays.
